Technique to separate calcium carbonate from sodium chloride

Place the empty "sodium chloride" evaporating dish under the funnel, wet the filter paper with a little DI water, and then pour the mixture of calcium carbonate, sodium chloride and water from the beaker into the filter funnel (be careful not to fill it past the top of the filter paper!).
