Technological aid for visual impairment refers to any gadget that is used to correct or assist visually challenged persons. Visual impairment includes visual loss that may be complete or partial (examples being total blindness, farsightedness and short nearsightedness). The examples of such technological aids include corrective lenses, braille, computers with braille input and output and computers with speech recognition for the visually challenged.
