This indeed is quite true keeping in mind the saying that goes; necessity is the mother of all invention. With technology, a lot of work and life processes are being over simplified and this has a negative impact because very few people develop the need to be creative in their lives.  Simply put, technology is killing creative thinking by the day.
Another way of looking at it, is that people are caught up so much in the frenzy of entertainment that is provided by the latest technology. Activities like constant chatting on social media and watching movies all the time, do not allow people to have time to be creative and learn things.
