Teja has a garden of 120 meter square. He uses 40% of the area for growing flowers. 25% of remaining area for vegetables and the rest of the area is filled by 9 rows of the sunflower plant. How much area is covered by each row?

Solution :-

Total area of the garden = 120 sq m

Area used for growing flowers = 40 % of 120

⇒ (40*120)/100

= 48 sq m

Area used for growing vegetables = 25 % of the remaining area

Area remaining = 120 - 48 = 72 sq m

⇒ (72*25)/100

= 18 sq m

Area used for vegetables = 18 sq m

Now, remaining area = 120 - (48 + 18)

⇒ 120 - 66 = 54 sq m

Rest of the area is covered by 9 rows of sunflower plant.

Area covered by each row of plant = 54/9

= 6 sq m

So, each row has covered an area of 6 sq m.
