Telegraph pole occurs at equal distances of 220m along a road and heaps
of stones are put at equal distances of 300m along the same road. The first
heap is at the foot of the first pole. How far from it along the road is the next
heap which lies at the foot of a pole.​

So,

220=11×20=11×2^2 ×5

300=3×100=3×2^2×5^2

So, to find LCM we have to take highest power among all number of each occurring factor, and multiply them to find LCM

here, prime factors appearing are 2,3,5,11

So, highest factor of 2 is 2, of 3 is 1, of 5 is 2 and of 11 is 1

∴LCM=2^2 ×3×5^2 ×11=3300

So, at 3300 m next heap of stones will lie at foot of pole.
