Hii friend,
MEDULLA OBLONGATA or BRAIN STEM
The Medulla oblongata is responsible for basic vital life functions such as breathing, digesting food and blood circulation. It connects the rest of the brain to the spinal cord. It controls the involuntary muscles-the ones that work automatically such as the heart and the stomach.
There are two other very important parts of the brain--- the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus.
Even though the pituitary gland is very small (it is the size of a pea), it has a very important role to play. It produces and releases a hormone that controls our growth. It also controls other important hormones.
The hypothalamus controls the temperature of the body.
When our environment is hot, we sweat. As the sweat evaporates, our body cools down. Similarly, if the body is too cold, the hypothalamus instructs the body to shiver and, thus, warms it up.
hope this helps u ☺
