A typical flower is made up of four different parts :
Calyx = The outermost part, consists of sepals that are usually green in colour.
Corolla = Consists of petals that are brightly colored to attract animals for pollination.
Androecium = Is the male part and is made up of stamens that have a filament with an another on top. Pollens are produced in the anther.
Gynoecium = Is the female and is made up of carpels. Each carpel includes an ovary containing ovules, a style and a stigma. Pistil is the collective term of the carpel(s). After fertilisation, the ovary grows into a fruit and each ovule grows into a seed.
