If the Earth is thought of as a human body, the ocean is — among other things - the driver of its circulatory and respiratory systems. If it became unable to perform the host of essential functions we all count on, the planet would become uninhabitable.

• As this ocean is covering 70 percent of surface water, it is necessary to save them and avoid damage or pollution.
• Plastics, trash, pollution drained from industries in form of waste materials, over exploitation of fishing resources, unsustainable aquaculture, marine engineering and oil drilling, destruction of habitats, ocean acidification and coral bleaching, high levels of mercury and sea temperature rise are current and important issues need to be addressed concerning oceans.
