aids is the infectious deisease that leads to immunodeficiency and wasting of body parts. it is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (hiv).HIV attacks helper T-lymphocytes. thus causing cell-mediated immunodeficiency, which makes the body more prone to various infections.....
