If the larger fish goes extinct, the number of small fish will increase breaking the balance.

iii-

If the larger fish get outnumbered there will be no small fish left as more big fish need more food. When all the small fish will be eaten, there will be no food source for the big fish thus, there will be no more fishes in the water.
