if the magnet is moved in or out the galvanometer will show deflection (current will pass).
But if the magnet is held still galvanometer will not show deflection .

1)When a bar magnet is pushed into the coil of an insulated copper wire connected to a galvanometer an induced current is set up in the coil due to change of magnetic field through it.As a result galvanometer gives a deflection.
2)when the bat magnet id withdrawn from inside the coil again an induced current is set up in the coil due to change of magnetic field through it.As a result galvanometer gives a deflection in the reverse direction .
3)In the pic.

Hope it helps you.
