Answer:

Resistance

The ratio of the potential difference between the two ends of a conductor to the current flowing through at uniform temperature is called resistance of that conductor.

The unit of resistance is ohm (Ω).

Resistance of conductor depends on its length, temperature, cross section area, material of the conductor.

Specific resistance is resistivity.

Properties of resistivity are:

•It depends on the temperature. It depends on the nature of the substance made.

•Its unit is ohm-metre.

•The resistivity of the substance is numerically equal to the resistance of a rod of that substance which is 1metre long and 1square metre in cross-section.

•Resistivity don't depend on its length or thickness.
