Polypoid phase is well developed while medusa absent. Symmetry is hexamerous radial e.G. , Adamsia (sea anemone ), fungia ( mushroom coral ), astre ( star coral ) pennatula ( sea pen ), Gorgonia ( sea fan ), Madrepora ( stag horn coral ).
