When you add mustard oil in a container partially filled with water, after some time you would be able to see two distinct layers - upper layer of mustard oil and lower layer of water.
This happens because water is denser than oil so it settles below oil. Also, oil is immiscible liquid that is, it doesn't diffuse easily in other liquids.
