x + y = -12 this is equation 1

xy = 4

y = 4/x\\ this is equation 2

from equation 1 & 2

x + 4/x = -12\\x^2+4 = -12x\\x^2+12x+4 = 0\\by solving  this equation we get x = approx. -11.657  or -0.343\\

y= \frac{4}{x}\\\\

when x = -11.657, y = \frac{4}{-11.657}\\

when x = -0.343, y = -4/0.343
