Using some points in multiplication \rightarrow

1 ) ( + sign ) × ( - sign ) = - sign

2 ) ( - sign ) × ( - sign ) = + sign

3 ) ( + sign ) × ( + sign ) = + sign

4 ) ( - sign ) × ( + sign ) = - sign

Given :

5p ( - p + p² + 1 ) + ( - p ) ( 4 + p - p² )

Opening ( ) brackets

= - 5p² + 5p³ + 5p + ( - 4p - p² + p³ )

= - 5p² + 5p³ + 5p - 4p - p² + p³

Combine like terms

= - 5p² - p² + 5p³ + p³ + 5p - 4p

= p² ( - 5 - 1 ) + p³ ( 5 + 1 ) + p ( 5 - 4 )

= p² ( - 6 ) + p³ ( 6 ) + p ( 1 )

= - 6p² + 6p³ + p

Higher power comes first.

•°•

= 6p³ - 6p² + p
