Monsoon season:-

The monsoon season in india lasts from July to October. The wind blows from arabian sea and bay of Bengal towards the land. They are known as monsoon winds. These winds carry moisture with them. They cause rainfall in most parts of India.

The distribution of rainfall is very uneven in the country. Mawsynram in Meghalaya recieves the maximum rainfall (1,100 cm) not only in india but in the world. On the other hand,some areas in rajasthan recieves very less rainfall (less then 10 cm). The average annual rainfall in our country is approximately 125 cm.

The monsoon season is very important in India. Agriculture or farming in India is dependent on rainfall. People use raincoats and umbrellas on rainy season. They enjoy good iteams,such as tea,pakoras and plums etc.
