in the starting of the story we are introduced to two main characters i.e Mrs packltide and Mrs loona bimberton . in the first para we see that mrs packletide was in sad about the fact that loona had shot dead the tiger and was even jealous of all the popularity she had gained in the whole society . mrs packletides was so jealous that she though of trying to outshine loona by shooting a tiger and inviting her for a lunch on and even thought of gifting her a tiger claw brooch .
