Yes because the sphere touches the cylinder with its diameters in both axes X and Y.
the both axes of sphere touches at curved surface. We can say that the sphere is a hollow space in the cylinder.
The circumferenceof sphere is a circle.
Consider the circle that touches the cylinder.
: . circumference
=2×22/7×r
also the given sphere fits the cylinder.
so, the circumference of curved surface of cylinder is also 2×22/7×r.
If the circumference of cirlce and curved of the cylinder is equal then the sphere surface is equals to curved surface of cylinder in the axis which we considered.
