The difference between the texture of the trees is that because western slopes get more rainfall as compared to the eastern slopes.

  • Due to the western ghats gets more rainfall than eastern ghats. The forest on the western ghats is more thick and dense and evergreen in nature. As compared to the eastern ghats that are a rain shadow zone and they lie on the leeward side.
