Tell why the electric configuration of K (Potassium) is 2,8,8,1 instead of 2,8,9 according to Bohr they should be arrange in 2n^2 but they didn't Why? ​

It's true that outermost shell can accommodate only 18 electrons

But the fact that contradicts is that ↪The outermost shell of any atom can accommodate only 8 electrons.

So that's why the confriguration of potassium is

2,8,8,1.

instead of 2,8,9
