i) Your understanding of formulas helps you you design better spreadsheets. You can organize data in a way that takes advantage of formulas, which drastically reduces errors and troubleshooting.

ii) A formula is statement written by the user to be calculated. Formulas can be as simple or as complex as the user wants. A formula can contain values, references to cells, defined names, and functions. A function is a piece of code designed to calculate specific values and are used inside formulas.

iii) A formula is an expression which calculates the value of a cell. Functions are predefined formulas and are already available in Excel.

iv) The Excel MOD function returns the remainder of two numbers after division. For example, MOD(10,3) = 1. The result of MOD carries the same sign as the divisor.

v) The SQL INTERSECT clause/operator is used to combine two SELECT statements, but returns rows only from the first SELECT statement that are identical to a row in the second SELECT statement. This means INTERSECT returns only common rows returned by the two SELECT statements.
