Answer:

Temperature at: 5am is 10°C and 12pm is 31°C

Step-by-step explanation:

Converting into arithmetic progression we get,

temperature at 12am is -5°C

(temperature keeps increasing by 3°C every hour)

Therefore temperature at 1am is -2°C

1am,2am,3am.....

(12am is term 0 so we r not taking it)

Therefore AP is -2°C, 1°C, 4°C.......

a = -2

d = +3

5am (5th term) = a + (n-1)d

                         = -2 + (5-1)3

                         = 10°C

Similarly for 12pm we get,

a + (n-1)d

= -2 + (12-1)3

= 31°C

Hope this helps!
