decrease as the liquid absorbs latent heat of vaporization from rest of liquid

The temperature of the liquid decreases. As energy (in the form of heat) is lost by the liquid in the process of evaporation. It is also the reason behind the 'Cooling effect due to Evaporation'.

georgerenjana: But it absorbs heat during evaporation ,right?
