Answer:

The temples in both North and South India has three main types of Architecture....they are Nagara (Between Himalayas and Vindyas), Dravida (South of Deccan plateau) and Vesara (In the Deccan)

We can say that Dravida and Vesara are combination..

The South Indian temples are too much bigger than the temples in North India in all aspects such as Area, Height of Raja Gopuram....etc

For example: Srirangam Ramanatha Temple nearly occupies an area of 155 acreas whereas Kedarnath temple occupies only less than 4acreas..

In South India there are mainly three types of Aagamans Saiva (Temples of Shiva) and Vaikanasam & Paancharaatam (Temples of Vishnu) and in North India mainly Lord Krishna and Ram..

The Temples of South India are very strict followers of Rituals such as Tirupati Balaji according to the daily base activities the Balaji or Sri Venkateswara has Kalyanam, Abhishekam etc called Nitya Kaymkarya Sevalu...but in North India the rituals like Khumbamela held for every 12 years....

In South India the Spiritual gurus too famous than in North India... Tirupati had 2 main Jeeyar Swamis who always starts the rituals of Balaji....etc.
