There are two temporary endocrine gland in human body.
These are: (1) Corpus luteum and (2) Placenta.
(1) Corpus Luteum is formed when the ovum (secondary oocyte) comes out of Graafian follicle during ovulatory phase of menstrual cycle.
The left over Graafian follicle after release of ovum is called corpus luteum which is yellow coloured and secretes endocrine hormone progesterone under the influence of another endocrine hormone released from anterior lobe of pituitary called Luteinizing hormone (LH).
Progesterone released from corpus luteum helps in formation of extra layers of endometrium inside uterus for the expected pregnancy if fertilization occurs. If fertilisation occurs, corpus leteumremain as such and continues to secrete progesterone till final term of pregnancy and also help the embryo to attach inside uterus.
If fertilisation is not there, then corpus leteul ceases secretion of progesterone and itself denegerates and due to this the extra endometrium slough off and flow as menstrual blood.
(2) Placenta is another temporary endocrine gland in human body. It envelops the fetus and also seccretes hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin), hPL (human placental lactogen), prolactin and some progesterone also.
