It is Pakistan's second-largest populated city, is the capital of Punjab, it is the city of Gardens, is the hub of qawwali, has some of the best historical sites from the Mughal era and earlier, Lahore has 13 gates to the walled part of the city, it is the place of burial for some famous personalities like Jehangir, Nur Jahan, and Iqbal, it has famous colleges and institutes like Aitchison College and King Edward medical college, from the British era, it has importance in the religion of Hinduism as is related to a Hindu poem related to Luv and lastly, Lahore is the closest Pakistani city to Amritsar as it is quite close to the border.
