Ten years ago, Karan was thrice as old as Shiva was but 10 years hence, he will be only twice as old. Find Shiva’s present age ?

Given ratio
a:B:c :: 7:5:4
Let 
a sum = 7k
B sum =5k
c sum =4k
Total sum = 7k + 5k + 4k = 16k
ATQ
5k - 4k = 500
k = 500

total sum = 16k = 16*500 =8000
