No. It is absolutely wrong that tertiary sector is not playing any significant role in the development of indian economy. In fact, tertiary sector is the only one developing at a fastest rate. Economy has 3 sectors and out of those
●there is no ray of hope for development can be seen in Primary which mainly consists of agriculture.
●secondary sector is also much developing because of low wages given to workers.
●tertiary sector is improving prominently as it has created many new jobs in the IT field.
As more jobs are been created in tertiary sector, more employment would be there in it this means more earning and more generation of value and wealth(money). If the rate of earning is high than the rate of development of economy also increases as if more people will earn they will pay more tax which will, indirectly, result in the development of Indian economy.

Explanation:

Not at all.

Tertiary sector is playing a very important role in the development of indian economy and after coming up of it services etc. it has further extended its role in the economy.

But every good things come with a drawback, tertiary sector fails to generate emplyment as par as its role in the GDP. Govt. is trying hard to generate new jobs in this sector.

As the agricultural sector and manufacturing sector flourish the demands for services rises.Hence tertiary sector plays a very important role in the development of Indian economy.

HOPE IT HELPS.
