Take some lemon juice in a petridish and dip a strip of blue litmus paper in it the color of the paper changes to red due to presence of acid in it.

Take some soap solution in a petridish and dip a strip of red litmus paper in it the color of the paper changes to blue.This happens due to presence of base in soap solution.
