hiiii.....Starch testing. Iodine solution is used to test leaves for the presence of starch. ... heat a plant leaf in boiling water for 30 seconds (this stops its chemical reactions) heat it in boiling ethanol for a few minutes (this removes most of its colour)......

Buy some iodine solution from a dealer of laboratory chemicals. Put a few drops into such a thing as rice, bread, potato, tapioca etc. In the case of fruits, remove their skin and do the test. The presence of starch is indicated if the solution turns dark blue.
