(2 {x}^{2}  + y) + ( {x}^{2}  - 2 {y}^{2} ) - (7x + 3 {y}^{2} ) \\  \\ remove \: brackets \\  \\  {2x}^{2}  + y +  {x}^{2}  -  {2y}^{2}  - 7x -  {3y}^{2}  \\  \\ collect \: like \: terms \\  \\   {3x}^{2}  + y -  {2y}^{2}  - 7x -  {3y}^{2}  \\  \\  {3x}^{2}  + y  - 5y{}^{2}  - 7x
