potencial=mgh =1kg×10m/s×5m =1×10×5=50joule

The potential energy of a body is calculated by using the formula:

Potential energy = mgh

In this case, Mass, m = 1 kg

Acceleration due to gravity, g = 10 m/s2

And, Height, h = 5 m

So, putting these values in the above formula, we get;

Potential energy = 1 × 10 × 5

= 50 J
