2x - 3y = 8

 \huge{ \underline{ \mathfrak{Answer :}}}

2x - 3y = 8

3y = 8 - 2x

Y =  \frac{8 - 2x} {3}

This equation can be solved in many more ways. Here you go :

2x - 3y = 8

→ 2x = 8 + 3y

→ x =   \frac{8 + 3y} {2}

After solving the equation, you can add the values for "X" & "Y", Infinite values can be taken, but three are more than enough.

2x - 3y = 8

When x = 0,

2 (0) - 3y = 8

0 - 3y = 8

Y =   \frac{8 } {3}

Here, X = 0 & Y =   \frac{8} {3}

Here, X = 0 & Y =   \frac{8} {3}When X = 1,

2 (1) - 3y = 8

2 - 3y = 8

Y =   \frac{8 - 2} {3}

Y =   \frac{6} {3}

Y = 2.

Here, X = 1 & Y = 2

Here, X = 1 & Y = 2When X = 3,

2 ( 3) - 3y = 8

6 - 3y = 8

3y = 8 - 6

Y =   \frac{8 - 6} {3}

Y =   \frac{2} {3}

Answer -

For such types of questions where two or more variable are provided and there is no value given , so, there could be infinite ways of solving these by substituting a value by your self .

Let us consider x = 1

ATQ,

2(1) - 3y = 8

=> -3y = 8 => y = 6/-3 = -2

so , if x = 1 than y = -2

Check ,

substituting their values instead of variables -

2(1) - 3(-2) = 8

=> 2 -(-6) = 8

=> 2+6 = 8

LHS = RHS

Hence, the solution is correct .

But you could even consider any variable as a number .

Hope it helps you :)

Thanks :)
