4x - 1 = 3x - 2 \\ 4x - 3x =  - 2 + 1 \\ x =  - 1

Justification

4 \times  - 1 - 1 = 3 \times  - 1 - 2 \\  - 4 - 1 =  - 3 - 2 \\  - 5 =  - 5

put x= -1 on both sides

[4*(-1) -1]= -4-1=-5

[3*(-1)-2] = -3-2= -5

hence proved
