★ FACTORISATION
-----------------------------

4x² + 4x + 1 = 0

=> 4x² + (2 + 2)x + 1 = 0

=> 4x² + 2x + 2x + 1 = 0

=> 2x(2x + 1) + 1(2x + 1) = 0

=> (2x + 1)(2x + 1) = 0

=> (2x + 1)² = 0

=> 2x + 1 = 0

=> x = - ½

b² - 4ac

=> (4x)² - 4 × 4x² × 1

=> 16x² - 16x²

=> 0

Discriminant of the equation b² - 4ac = 0

So, roots are equal.

The roots of the equation are equal. Both zeroes are - ½.
