Answer- The above question is from the chapter 'Quadratic Equations'.

Factorization in quadratic equations is a process of making factors of middle-term of a quadratic equation to find its roots.

Given question: Find x:-

5x² + 19x - 4 = 0 (Correct question)

Solution: In 5x² + 19x - 4 = 0

Sum = +19x

Product = 5 × (-4) = -20

Factors= +20x , -x

5x² + 19x - 4 = 0

5x² + 20x - x - 4

Taking out common,

5x (x + 4) - 1 (x + 4) = 0

(5x - 1) (x + 4) = 0

Now, either 5x - 1 = 0

x =  \frac{1}{5}

Or x + 4 = 0

x = -4

So, x =  \frac{1}{5} or -4.

∴ Roots of equation 5x² + 19x - 4 = 0 =  \frac{1}{5} or -4.
