Answer :-

  • Roots of the equation are 2/3 and - 3/2 respectively.

Given :-

  • A quadratic equation 6x² + 5x - 6

To Find :-

  • Roots of the equation.

Solution :-

We'll find the roots of the equation by splitting the middle term.

6x² + 5x - 6

→ 6x² + 9x - 4x - 6

[ Split the middle term ]

→ 3x (2x + 3) - 2 (2x + 3)

→ (3x - 2) (2x + 3)

___________________

  • 3x - 2 = 0

→ 3x = 2

→ x = 2/3

  • 2x + 3 = 0

→ 2x = - 3

→ x = - 3/2
