9x - 3y = 5.... i)

2x + 6y =9.... ii)

Multipying i) with 2 and ii) with 1

18x - 6y=10

2x + 6y=9

adding

20x = 19

x=19/20

put x =19/20 in eqn i)

9×19/20 -3y=5

-3y= (100- 171)/20

y = -71/-60

y=71/60
