Hey mate my aim is also to become an IPS officer.

If we do hard and smart work for any civil officers

we will give this exam after graduation.

fristly, this exam conducted by UPSC

so ,,we give two prelims papers

1) gk and ga

2)ur subject.

both papers are objective...

if we passed in this exam

then , we er quality for mains exam

and , last section is our interview

if we passed in all

then our position to make IAS,IFS,IPS,IRS etc....

IPS : Indian Police Service

They works for both the central and the State governments.

They are appointed to take care of laws and order,crime detection and prevention, Accident detection and prevention and more.

As per to the question,

How to become an "IPS" Officer :

For becoming an IPS Officer candidate must need to give the Civil Services  Exams. (UPSC)

But before giving the exam you are required to procure the Application form along with your information source from any of the head post office and have to sent the filled form to :

The Secretory

Union Public Service Commission,

Dholpur House,

New Delhi - 110011.

The exam held in Three steps and the final one is followed by the Interview.

STEP 1 : PRELIMINARY EXAM :

The preliminary exam consist of two papers each of 200 marks.

Paper 1 : It is all about the current national and international events , national and international movements , World affairs, and is related to Indian governance , developments , some general Science etc.[200]

Paper 2 : It is all about the comprehension, communication skills,reasoning questions,ability of solving problems, basic numerical problems (X class) , English language etc.[200]

Although there is an option of choosing the optional subject for the secong paper.

One thing the result of the above exam is just a basic need for qualifying for the final exam ,here scores  won't get added for the final exams. :)

STEP  2 : MAINS

If the candidate got declared as qualified in the first step that is the preliminary exams , were chosen as to take the final exam, mostly held on October.

The paper here consist of :

• 1 Essay type Indian Language Qualifying paper - 300 marks
• 1 English Qualifying Paper - 300 marks
• 1 General essay type Paper - 200 marks
• 2 General Studies paper - 300 marks

4 Optional subjects paper - 300 marks

STEP 3 : INTERVIEW

Once you got completed you will reach the final state that is the interview.

Candidates who have secured very good ranks as out of 400 - 450 (app) are got admitted to Police academy as IPS and they undergo for their tranings of nearly 1 year.

Some basic needs for becoming an IPS Officer

1) Education Qualification :

⇒ Candidate have been completed their graduation (any stream).

⇒ Candidate present in last year of graduation is also accepted.

⇒ Candidate must have approved degree.

2) Age :

⇒for general category : 21 to 32 in age

⇒ for ST/SC/OBC :  they get extra age 5 to 3 years.

3) height :

⇒ min - 165 (male ) , 150 (female) [general]

⇒min - 160 (male ), 145( female) [ ST/OBC/SC]

4) Chest height :

⇒ min 84 cm , 5 cm expansion (male)

⇒ min 79 cm , 5 cm expansion (female)

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS :

1) General : 6 attempts

2) OBC : 9 attempts

3) SC/ST : unlimited number of attempts.
