yes.. parenchyma's function is to help the plant in floating.. but it's not exactly the parenchyma it's aerenchyma (a type of parenchyma).. helps aquatic plants in floating and gaseous exchange.

it's aerenchyma :it's part of parenchyma which is a plant tissue aerenchyma helps aquatic plants to float on water by giving them buoyancy
