CH_3COOH + C_2H_5OH \rightleftharpoons CH_3COOC_2H_5 + H_2O
In the above reaction one mole each of acetic acid and alcohol are heated in the presence of little conc. H₂SO₄. On equilibrium being attained
(a) 1 mole of ethyl acetate is formed
(b) 2 moles of ethyl acetate are formed
(c) \frac{1}{3} mole of ethyl acetate is formed
(d) \frac{2}{3} mole of ethyl acetate is formed
