a^{2} + (x+ y)a + xy

Identity used:-

(x + a)(x + b) = x² + (a + b)x+ ab

x = a

a = x

b = y

a^2 + (x + y)a + xy = (a + x) (a + y)

Verify:-

(a + x) (a + y)

a(a + y) + x(a + y)

a^2 + ay + ax + xy

a^2 + a(y + x) + xy
