(2x-1)/(x+1)=5/4

4(2x-1)=5(x+1)

Answer:

Hey\: mate ,your \:answer:

\frac{2x-1}{x+1}=\frac{5}{4}

(by cross multiplication method)

4(2x -1) = 5(x +1)

(4×2x)-(4×1) = 5x + 5

8x - 4 = 5x + 5

(transposing -4 to right hand side and 5x to left hand side)

8x - 5x = 5 + 4

3x =9

x =\frac{9}{3}

x = 3
