Q. 3/7 + 1/21 - 1/14

I’ll solve this using 2 methods.

METHOD 1:

According to BODMAS, we will first add

=>lcm of 7 and 21 (in 3/7 and 1/21) =21

So,
=> (9+1)/21 - 1/14
=> 10/21 - 1/14

Now, lcm of 21 and 14 (in 10/21 and 1/14) = 42
So,
=> (20-3)/42
=> 17/42

Hence, the answer is (17/42)

METHOD 2:

Lcm of 7, 21 and 14 (in 3/7, 1/21 and 1/14) =42

Now,
(18 + 2 - 3) /42

=> (20-3)/ 42
=> 17/42

I think METHOD 2 is easier and faster as METHOD 1 contains more steps

Hope it helps.
Thankyou :-)
