 \frac{4}{15}  +  \frac{3}{10}  \\  \\  =  \frac{4 \times 10}{15 \times 10}  +  \frac{3 \times 15}{10 \times 15}  \\  \\  =  \frac{40}{150}  +  \frac{45}{150}  \\  \\  =  \frac{40 + 45}{150}  \\  \\  =  \frac{85}{150}  \\  \\  =  \dfrac{\cancel{85}}{\cancel{150}}  \\  \\  =  \frac{17}{30}

Answer:

 \frac{4}{15}  +  \frac{3}{10}

Now,

since LCM of 15 and 10 is 30,

 \frac{4 \times 2}{15 \times 2}  +  \frac{3 \times 3}{10 \times 3}  \\  =  \frac{8}{30}  +  \frac{9}{30}  \\  =  \frac{8 + 9}{30}  \\  =  \frac{17}{30}

.

Hope this helps :)
