 \frac{4}{2x + 3 }  =  \frac{5}{x + 4}

by cross multiplication we get
4x+16=10x+15
6x=1
x=1/6

By cross multiplication,

4(x+4) = 5(2x+3)
4x+16 = 10x+15
16-15=10-4x
1 = 6x
x= 1/6
