PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants prepare there food.

This food is prepared with the help of sunlight, cholorophyll , water and carbon-dioxide.

The chemical energy is released during this process.

This process is very helpful for the life of plants.

Oxygen is released as a waste product that's why it is also very useful for human beings because they need oxygen for respiration.

⚡It refers to the process in which autotrophs convert the inorganic materials like carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight into organic matter like carbohydrates.

⚡Chemical equation involved here is-

6CO2+12H2O---->C6H12O6+6O2+6H2O

•STEP 1

Absorption of light energy by chlorophyll.

•STEP 2

Conversion of light energy into chemical energy and splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.

•STEP 3

Reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates.
