S.I unit of Power (P) = Watt (W)

Power :- Rate of doing work is termed as Power.

1 watt = 1 Joules/ 1 second = 1 Volt × 1 Ampere

1 kilowatt = 1000 W.

When an appliance of 1 watt carrying power if 1 Ampere of current flow through it by applying potential difference of 1 Volt across its ends.

P = VI

P= I^2R

P = V^2/ R

P = W / t

P = Power

I = Current

V = Potential difference

R = Resistance

W = Amount of work done

t = Time Taken
