Forces causes objects to accelerate, add to the object's overall pressure, change direction, or change shape. the s.i. unit of force is newton.

Push or pull of an object is known as Force.

It is the product of mass and acceleration.

i.e.

Force = m × a

m = mass and a = acceleration.

• Types of force :

It is of two types - Contact and Non-contact force.

1) Contact force - When two interacting objects are physically touched.

Ex - frictional force, normal force, spring force etc.

2) Non-contact force - When two interacting objects are not physically touched.

Ex - gravity, magnetic force, electric force etc.

• Causes of force :

Beacuse of force state and shape of the object changes.
